The relationship between the US and China

History of China

China started out divided into various dynasties. It also had brief periods of disorder. But it overcame those and went on to become one of the most succesful trade markets of the century. After the Quing Dynasty, a man named Sun Yat-sen had ideas that inspired the creation of a republic. Then, the revolution started.
1910 was what started the flow of events. In this year, slavery was abolished in China. In 1911, the Wuchang Uprising began. This was a very important military uprising. In 1912, the provisional government of the Republic of China was formed. During this time, Sun Yat-sen became president, but he gave a lot of power to Yuan Shikai, who, in 1915, proceeded to declare himself emperor. He then died in 1916. The time that followed was called the warlord era, during which various military leaders battled for China.
In the 1920's, Sun Yat-sen entered an alliance with the Communist Part of China(CPC). He died later in 1916 from cancer. One of his prodeges, Chiang Kai-shek, took over the Nationalist Party(KPC). The KPC chased the CPC to Yan'an, which became their new headquarters. During the long march to Yan'an, CPC obtained a new leader, Mao Zedong. The CPC and KPC were mortal enemies, but they united in 1937 to oppose Japanese forces trying to take over China. After that, the war between them continued. By 1949, CPC ruled most of China.
To this day, CPC and KPC remain. They have never signed a peace treaty. They still do not agree. How long will it take?!! Still, China is a country to be proud of.
